Henrik Gjerstad (b. 1996) is a Norwegian artist based in Oslo. Since childhood Henrik has been invigorated by art and the aesthetically beautiful. His relationship with art was cultivated whilst growing up with his father and grandfather in their art studio in Oslo. Henrik Gjerstad holds a masters degree in Art and Architecture from The Royal Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has also studied at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, USA. His art has been exhibited in New York, Copenhagen, Oslo and various galleries around Norway. Specialising in the mediums of oil paint, acrylic, spray paint and digital art, Henrik is a dedicated artist known for his expressionist artworks. The artworks feature organic shapes, deep textures and vivid colours. Street art and the textures of urban environments form a core source of inspiration for Henrik. Many of his experiences and artistic interpretations are developed during travels to different places around the world. For Henrik, the process of producing art ignites a journey to a free place where anything and everything can happen.
